Sup, Maine?

Welcome back to our #WorkoutoftheWeek posts, where each and every week we either write about a workout we recently did, came across on the internet, or was submitted by YOU from your box, or a drop-in you recently had.

Today we are sharing a workout from, Ryan Loshaw, of CrossFit 207. You can find Ryan on IG @ryanloshaw here, but without further a due, let’s get to this week’s #WorkoutoftheWeek. Quick FYI, we know these guys and girls from Maine are all beasts because the weather is sub-par for most of the year, and well….they’ve got a lot of time to workout. Shout out to you, Mainers. Keep kicking ass.

There’s nothing more brutal than a couplet designed to wreck your knees, quads and hamstrings, and that is exactly what we’ve got here. Our friends at CrossFit 207 in Sanford, Maine really know how to design a workout. Like I said earlier above….these Mainers have a lot of time to workout and they have really outdone themselves here.

With the workout itself only being a couplet of 1500 meters on the rower and 75 box jump overs, it doesn’t seem that bad, until you finish the first round and then realize you have to go back in and half of it all over again. Those 50 box jump overs will seemingly take a while…with the 14-minute time cap you should be able to finish this under 10 minutes, or around the 12 minute-mark, even if rowing and box jump overs aren’t your thing. Either way, try to step down on the box jumps at least and save your knees and quads while you can.

Great submission here by, Ryan Loshaw, and you guys at CF 207 keep up the great work. For anyone who is traveling up to Southern Maine this summer, go and give these guys a drop-in and tell ‘em we sent you.

Awesome crew, brutal workouts, and some of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet up there.
