#WODoftheWEEK 5.18.2018
"Don't wish for a good body, work for it." -Unknown
We are back this week with another workout to talk about and share with our community! If you just finished wrapping up watching regionals, welcome back! And if you went (or competed) we hope you had an awesome time.
There is truly nothing like watching people throw down and become their absolute best in front of thousands of other people....it gets me amped to watch, and a huge shoutout to all four teams we know at VoyEdge RX who competed this at the East Regionals this year:
Such a massive accomplishment! Congrats to all your athletes, fellow box members, and squads cheering them all the way through those grueling workouts. And if you want a recap of the East Regionals, watch here or check out the leaderboard here.

AGOQ WORKOUT #4
5-minute AMRAP:
9 handstand push-ups
6 burpees
3 snatches (165/115)
Overview:
This one looks like a beast. And for good reason. 5-minutes is just enough time to go absolutely ham on a workout. 9 handstand push-ups is no joke, nor are the 6 burpees, and the 3 snatches at 165 are brutal, too. Either way, 5-minutes is going to seem like a long time after about your 3rd or maybe even fourth round.
As we always, always suggest, feel free to scale as necessary, whether you decide to tackle this one with push-ups (banded or not), or even limit the snatches to a reasonable weight, you can still very much do this one. The CrossFit Games Online Age Qualifier has put out some really awesome workouts over the past month, and watching some of the video submissions for this one were pretty cool.
Either way, take this workout slow and steady, but also push the gas a little bit when and where you can. Anyone can do pretty much anything for five minutes. If you want to add this workout to your boxes programming and or want some strategy tips, check this video out from Comptrain / Ben Bergeron.
From The CrossFit Games Online Qualifier Site:
Much like the CrossFit Games Open, the Online Qualifier challenges athletes’ mental and physical game with max lifts, high-skill movements and tests of general physical preparedness. In its fifth year, the Online Qualifier will be a stepping stone for both masters and teenagers on their journeys to get to the CrossFit Games.
The top 200 teenagers from each division after the Open will join the masters to compete in the Online Qualifier. The four-day competition will decide which 20 teens from each division will head to Madison, Wisconsin, for the 2018 Reebok CrossFit Games.
As in 2017, athletes in the 35-39 division are encouraged to participate in the worldwide Open and Online Qualifier for the chance to compete at the 2018 Reebok CrossFit Games.
In the Online Qualifier, masters athletes will submit scores and/or videos for four workouts. Once the Online Qualifier workouts are released, athletes will have four days to complete them. Athletes submitting scores must use a registered judge for each workout and have their performances validated by a licensed CrossFit affiliate in good standing. In addition, all four workouts must be videotaped. Alternatively, athletes may elect to submit videos of the four workouts online for judging and validation. All videos submitted for review must adhere to standard Open video submission guidelines.
