Workout of the Week - It's A Doozy
Today’s workout was a doozy.
1. Because it is one where you want to push to get it done faster.
2. It was really windy outside and I feel I got wind-burned or something. I don’t know. My lips are chapped.
Anywho, here it is:
EMOM 6:
40/30 Calorie Row
30 Sit-ups
20 Single Arm Overhead Kettlebell Lunge (62lbs)
*AMRAP Kettlebell Swings
Go until you reach 100 KB swings
Started off pretty well with 35 swings in the first round. My thoughts went right to get 30 the next round, then let er rip and finish the final 35 it in round three!.....well, not quite but I was not too far off.
In round two I was able to get to 65 but in round three the row was way too slow and I was able to get to...wait for it….94 swings before time ran out and I had to do a whole new round to get 5 more swings.
Next time, I will try to go a few swings longer on round one. The row was the one thing that slowed down a lot but I think even keeping that consistent and hanging on for those couple more swings in round one and two will definitely get me to finish the 100 swings in just 3 rounds. With that said, I’m going to wait a little while until I do it again.
In the end, it took me 4:10 into round 4 to get it done.
