CROSSFIT GAMES UPDATE: CAMILLE GOES TEAM

News broke a few days ago about a big name in the sport making a big move this summer.

It was announced that 2014 Fittest Woman on Earth, Camille Leblanc-Bazinet, will be stepping in and joining Team ROMWOD/WIT.  Team ROMWOD/WIT, who won the Wodapalooza team competition to secure their bid to the Games this summer, was rostering Jamie Green as one of their 4 competitors that weekend. Green has qualified for the Games in multiple ways as an individual and plans to accept her invite as an individual this season. Camille will be taking her place as an alternate, and competing with Team ROMWOD/WIT in the Games this summer.

The changes occurring to this CrossFit games season are many, and the shakeup has been a whirlwind to keep track of. One of the biggest sneaky changes is that to the team competition, and the qualification therein, for the 2019 Reebok CrossFit Games. The rules are quite vague in this new rulebook, and as a result, many super teams are forming. As a fan, I love it, but as someone with a brain, I have a feeling this won't fly moving forward. For now, though, enjoy the talented team throw downs on this road to Madison!
