1 SIMPLE RULE FOR TRAVELING TO A NEW COUNTRY

Travel is awesome and if you don't do it you are a squareeee, bro. But if you are considering traveling to a new country, congratulations! Your life is about to change forever. 

Whenever you travel to a new place, there is one rule above all else that you should keep in mind. That rule:

FORGET YOUR PRE-CONCEIVED NOTIONS OF THE PLACE YOU ARE HEADED!

Through no fault of our own, we have many thoughts formed prematurely about almost every place on earth. Africa has lions, France has mean people, the Middle East is unsafe. There is a bunch of boohaugey in our noggins put there by media, movies, and the like over the course of years. When you travel to a new place, do your research, but go in with an open mind. 

Enjoy immersing yourself in the culture of a new place. Ask the locals what they suggest you do, and see, and try while you are there. It will make your experience far better, and you will thank me for it later.
