ANTICIPATING AN AFRICAN LULLABY

In a few short months, I will journey out on an African safari for the first time. Talk about life goals, right? It's been on the bucket list forever, and I am sure will be unreal. Of all the things I am looking forward to on this journey, I think sleeping in a tree house is at the top of my list.

That's right, a tree house. A house in the trees. In the bush. In South Africa. In the wild. OHHHHHHHH DOGGY!!

The thought alone is exciting and even gives me butterflies. For this trip, we will be going on a five-day safari and sleeping 3 nights in a tree house camp in Kruger National park. The tree houses are barebones and rustic, and puts you right in nature, right in the food chain.

Now, the plan is not to get mauled by a lion in our sleep. But to fall asleep in such a rudimentary state, in one of the last truly wild places on earth, is going to be quite the experience. Hearing the howls of the hyenas crying to the night, the roar of lions or the rustling of any of the many nocturnal creatures in that ecosystem should make these sleep a time to remember.

Where else can you find such a wild lullaby? Only South Africa.
