Three More Reasons To Go To Greece!

Greece is always at the top of everyone's bucket list.
For any world explorer, Greece is a must. From a culture standpoint, it's the cradle of all western civilization. And if history isn't your bag the present plays host to a dynamic and vibrant people, and a landscape sure to take your breath with every peek. If you're still going back and forth to book your ticket to Athens this year, here are three reasons to hopefully make your decision all the easier.
Athens
Acropolis - Athens, Greece
Athens is so old many scholars cannot even agree to when the first humans moved into the area. The best we can get is Athens has been inhabited for at least 7000 years. So think, it's 2018, so this is at least 5,000 years before year 0. Only kind of sort of impressive. At the same time, it is also a modern major capital filled with a world-renowned nightlife and social culture. It's this collision of the millennia. Where the contemporary plays in the shadow of the classical. Because rising above this bustling modern metropolis is the iconic Acropolis. This is a dichotomy you can experience nearly nowhere else.
Delphi
When you talk about heaven on Earth you may want to be sure to include Delphi. The ancient Greeks clearly did when they decided to make it the site of the Temple of Apollo and home to the Oracle. Where Athens leaves the observer mesmerized by the blend of past and present, a trip to Delphi is like jumping in a Delorean.
Straight to an ancient past, this valley whispers the memories of Greece in its mythic and natural splendor. You are transported, wholly, to the time of Theseus and you do not have to be an oracle to know, it will be an unforgettable experience.
The Islands
Have you been on social media in the last five years? Umm.....hello?
Everyone is going to Mykonos & Santorini and for damn good reason. These two Greek islands are the absolute most popular ones to travel to (along with Crete), but as you may know, Mykonos is known for partying & food, while Santorini was recently voted as having the world's best sunset. And from the time you step off the boat, until you close your eyes, Santorini will completely encapsulate you (just watch the video above) and trust us on that one.

The dramatic coastlines huddled tightly by the now iconic white and blue houses have been dominating posts for years. Now, what if I told you, those pictures don't even do it justice. It truly is something you need to see in person.

So when you think of the Mykonos or Santorini and you see those pictures in your mind it really is best to think of them as what they are. Just the beginning. And whats waiting on those islands is really for you to discover.
