You need to go kayaking in Antelope Canyon

Antelope Canyon is located on Navajo conservation land is slightly east of Page, Arizona. It has long since been a tourist attraction for those visiting the Southwestern U.S. and with it's meandering pathways and unique geological formations, it's a wildly attractive and surreal place to visit in person.

As it is, our National Parks trip stops here on Day 4 of the tour, and while walking through the canyon has its perks, one of the best ways to see just how amazing and intense this place really is, is to kayak through it.

There are loads of companies to go with, but on those sweltering 90-degree plus days, will you really want to be sitting on a kayak in the middle of a crowded canyon? Hell no. That's why we found the best tour operator to get us outside the gridlock and into adventure.

Let's dive in, but first, watch the video of kayaking through Antelope Canyon.

Now, Lake Powell directly feeds the river through Antelope Canyon, and while there are a number of tour operators in the area, it is strictly monitored (by the U.S. National Parks agency) and only so many people are allowed to go through each day. Still, it can become quite packed, and if you don't go with the right company, you can find yourself in the midst of a serious line....

Not cool. Who wants to wait in line on a kayak tour?

That's why our tour will book through Hidden Canyon's Antelope Canyon Kayak tour. Yes, I know that's kind of a mouthful, but after doing much research we found that these guys have access to a route that most other companies do not take, and seem to know what its like to live life off the beaten path.

See more from their website here, and read the excerpt from their site down below.

On Hidden Canyon Kayak’s Antelope Canyon Tour, you’ll glide between red sandstone walls towering high above tranquil morning waters, inching closer and closer together as you paddle gently and quietly toward the canyon’s land side.
