CINEMA OF THE SKY: THE GRINCH
As the holiday season rapidly approaches, many of you will pour out in droves to see the newest version of The Grinch. But will you like it? Let us discuss.
THE FILM
Let me start by saying that I have enjoyed every Grinch movie ever made to date. I am a Grinch guy, what can I say. This film was my favorite of them all, being 100% honest. Many fans of the classic animated Grinch would be upset by this, but I have to be honest. It was awesome!
As much as I loved the Jim Carry version, this new animated version was much more Seuss-like more whimsical and out there. It made Whoville out to be a really fun and magical place. I thought Benedict Cumberbatch did a great job as the voice of The Grinch, and I was grinning from ear to ear the whole time. This was a fun movie for the whole family to enjoy around this time of year! I give THE FILM: 7.0
THE PLANE:
This movie transitions very nicely to the plane. It is a family movie so nothing will get cut out. It is a silly movie, in the way that you could stop to talk to your neighbor or flight attendant and pick right back up where you left off, without missing a beat. This movie won't necessarily make the trip go by fast as it isn't all that long, but its a fun story that leaves you feeling good with some nice chuckles along the way. It won't change your life, but if it happens to be on a plane around the holidays, give this a watch for sure! My rating for THE PLANE: 8.3
THE VERDICT
The makers of Despicable Me do it again, bringing their fun-loving energy to the screen in a really fun way suitable for all passengers. This isn't a movie that will go down as the best in the year, but it will be an enjoyable way to pass the time. It is a great movie for the plane, with its only drawback being that it isn't too long a movie. Great for a short flight around the holidays, my final answer for THE VERDICT: 7.6
