Often called, 'The Hawaii of Europe,' The Azores' infamy comes from an incredibly lush landscape filled with rolling green hills, protected coastal reserves, natural hot springs, waterfalls, and a plethora of tea plantations, lavender fields, and more.
This tour is perfect for getting off the beaten path, touring the absolute best of the main island of São Miguel, and touring with a group.
From group fitness activities to hiking, the early summer is the best, brightest and greenest time of the year to visit The Azores. With a temperate climate, the region boasts some of Europe's most incredible culinary dishes that are locally sourced.
DAILY ITINERARY
DAY 1: June 4th, 2023
WELCOME TO PARADISE!
Welcome to the Azores!
Once you arrive in Sao Miguel, VRX guides will take you to check into our accommodations for the week
After settling in, the group will have a local walking tour of Ponta Delgada
We’ll end the tour with an included welcome dinner to get to know your fellow travelers and an optional evening out!

DAY 2: June 5th, 2023
HIKES, WATERFALLS, & BEACHES
Optional morning workout at a local gym
Hike through Salto do Cabrito, one of the best waterfalls on the entire island
We will then depart for Caldeira Velha, famous thermal waters with an included lunch
If time allows we will end the day at one of the best local beer spots on the island. Cheers!

DAY 3: June 6th, 2023
SETE CIDADES AND POSTCARD MOMENTS
Optional morning workout at a local gym
Depart for Sete Cidades crater hike with an included lunch
At the crater we have some time to relax, swim, or kayak before we head back to our accommodations
We’ll get together for an included group dinner and an optional evening out

DAY 4: June 7th, 2023
BOTANICAL GARDEN, TRADITIONAL COZIDO, TEA PLANTATION
Optional morning workout at a local gym
Stop at Nossa Senhora da Paz Chapel with fantastic views of the island
Visit Terra Nostra Botanical Garden. Feel free to relax in the famous thermal waters nourished by volcanic hot springs
Included traditional Cozido lunch where the food is cooked by the steam from the hot springs
Visit a local tea plantation to learn about the tea-making process (the only one in Europe!)

day 5:June 8th, 2023
CANYONING LIKE YOU’VE NEVER SEEN IT
Depart for adrenaline-inducing Canyoning tour where we will rappel down a canyon and dive into stunning pools at the bottom (every fitness level welcome!)
Included lunch
Depart for the coast to explore some vantage points and then return to our accommodations
Free evening out on the town!

day 6: June 9th, 2023
WATERFALLS FOR DAYS
Optional morning workout at a local gym
We’ll take a scenic drive to some incredible lookout points
Hike through Salto do Prego (2.3 miles) and see some waterfalls and enjoy an included picnic lunch
Depart for Ribeira dos Caldeirões, a National waterfall park, and explore the natural beauty of the Azores
Included Farewell Group Dinner & night out

Welcome to departure day! Spend the morning on the beach, exploring the town or simply relaxing before heading home

- In order to sign up, you must put down a $300 deposit (that goes towards the overall price of your trip)
- VoyEdge RX offers two pricing methods: Early Bird Rate and Regular Rate. Early bird rates are first come, first serve and are usually limited to the first five spots of any tour.
- Regular bookings are at the regular rate price of the trip. If you have a promo code, you may use it at any time. Discounts may not be combined.
Group discounts are as follows:
- Group of 5-9: 4% off per person
- Group of 10+: 7% off per person
- Military, First Responders, & Veterans: 4% off your invoice
- Repeat traveler: 3% off your invoice
- Refer a friend: $35 off your invoice per person after you sign up
Group leaders must contact us first to receive the percentage discount
+ AFTER REGISTRATION FOR AZORES
After signing up, VoyEdge RX will send you an invoice for the remaining balance for you to make payments as you wish. All invoices must be paid off at least 90 days before the trip kicks off, otherwise a 10% fee is applied.

+ ACCOMMODATIONS
- All accommodations are three-star hotels or above and booked as double occupancy rooms. If you are a solo traveler booking, you will be placed in a room with someone of the same gender and similar age range.
- If you are a couple or booking as friends, you will automatically be placed in the same room together for the duration of the trip.
- If you would like PRIVATE ACCOMMODATIONS please select that option during checkout and $200 extra per night will be added to your invoice. Please note, private accommodations may not be available during the entire duration of this tour.
- If you are a group, please specify under the 'notes' section of your booking who you would like to room with who.
- Hotel names cannot be given out until after you have signed up for this tour. All hotels are centrally located to the activities and excursions on this trip.

You may choose to arrive early or stay late, if you wish. Please note that you will be responsible for booking your own transportation, activities, and meals if you are arriving early or staying late. You have the option of having VRX book you a hotel room and adding the cost to your invoice for a small fee.
+ FITNESS & ACTIVITIES
- Daily hikes, workouts and box drop-ins are part of this tour and included in the price. You do NOT need to be an athlete in order to sign-up, although daily workouts and fitness options are available for you to participate in. We welcome all ages, abilities, fitness levels and only require you to be willing to step outside your comfort zone and try new things while on this tour.

- This trip requires a minimum of 8 people to sign-up in order for it to be led as a 'group tour' on behalf of VoyEdge RX. If we do not reach the minimum number of participants at least 150 days out from the tour, you will have the option of either getting a full refund, the ability to transfer to another tour at no charge or having us book this tour as a private tour for you. Meaning, you can still do this tour as a solo participant while VRX books everything for you and 'digitally' guides you through these destinations with a custom, made-for-you itinerary with a PDF and daily check-ins with our team.
